I simply love bringing a festive flair to my home, so that I can get into the holiday spirit.
Today I’ve teamed up with Command™ Brand to show you a couple “Christmas decor made easy” tutorials. I’m going to walk you through how to make some gorgeous wreaths to dress up your doors with, and a beautiful holiday garland backdrop.
Grapevine Wreath Materials:
-Various pine sprigs
Step 1: Gather various pine sprigs and clip them accordingly for each wreath. Carefully secure the sprigs by placing them in between the grapevines.
Step 2: Decide where you want to place each of your wreaths. My favorite way to hang up any holiday decor is by using Command™ Brand hooks. If you like to change your mind a lot, like me, then these hooks are perfect for you! They allow you to change up your indoor holiday decor with out leaving any marks or holes on your walls!
Step 3: To use the hook, remove the liner marked “wall side” on the adhesive strip and place it anywhere you want to hang up your wreath. After this, remove the blue liner and attach the hook onto the strip. I decided to hang all my wreaths on my door, and love the way they turned out!
Now let’s jump into our next holiday project!
Holiday Garland Backdrop Materials:
-.875 inch wooden dowel
Step 1: Attach all of the garlands onto a wooden dowel. Luckily, I found these beautiful pine garlands at my local craft store. They came with a built-in hook that fit perfectly on the dowel. You can also opt to make your own garland with real holiday greens.
Step 2: After all of the garlands are securely on the wooden dowel, tie some twine to the ends to create a hanger. Apply a Command™ Clear Medium Hook onto your wall, and hang up your beautiful holiday garland backdrop. I love the fact that you can easily move this backdrop with these hooks! You can simply transition this backdrop by placing it behind a dinner table, to a dessert table, to a photobooth backdrop.
There you have it! Two easy Christmas DIY projects that you can create to set the stage for your holiday festivities! What is your favorite way to decorate your home during the holiday season?
