With just a few more days until Christmas, last-minute gift ideas have been flooding my mind! Today, I have the perfect last-minute gift that you can quickly DIY for all the ones who’ve been put on the naughty list! These DIY lump of coal soap ornaments are the cutest handmade gift, and make great stocking stuffers!
Step 1: Cut up all of your soap base into small squares.
Step 2: Melt your soap base using a stove or microwave. I melted my soap base using my stove and melted my dye using a microwave. After this, pour your dye into the soap base and stir.
Step 3: Using cups as molds, pour your soap into each cup. I prefer using plastic or foam cups because you can easily cut the cup once the soap has cooled. Wait at least 40 minutes for the soap to completely cool.
Step 4: Take your soap out of the cups and begin shaping your soap into coal. There really is no right way to do it. Simply cut until you are happy with the shape.
Step 5: Print out your free printable “lump of coal” tags on cardstock and cut each tag out.
Step 6: Place each lump of coal into an ornament.
Step 7: Tie a ribbon around the top and add your tag to complete the look. Now you have the perfect last-minute gift for everyone on your list!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and are having a Merry Christmas!
