Since I’ve got traveling on my mind, I thought that a travel-inspired DIY would be fitting for today’s post! I’m going to walk you through how to make these cute DIY stamped leather luggage tags. These little tags are super easy to put together and make the perfect personalized gift for your friends and family.
M A T E R I A L S:
Step 1: Decide where you want to place your letters and space them out accordingly. If you want your letters to be placed in a straight line, then use a piece of tape as a guideline. I decided to freehand each letter because I like the “hand stamped look”. After you’ve decided your placement, take a hammer and tap each letter into the leather. I did about 5 light taps for each letter.
Tip: Have a piece of scrap leather that you can use to practice on. Depending on the leather you use, you might have to adjust how hard you have to hammer each letter.
Step 2: Cut a piece of the suede chord and string it through the hole of the tag.
Step 3: Tie the luggage tag onto your luggage and you are ready to travel in style!
Hope you enjoyed this DIY! Which destination is next on your travel bucket list?
