I Love You Because Jar

It’s FriYAY! The day we’ve waited for all week! To top it off, I have a brand new DIY project for you! You didn’t think that I’d let Valentine’s Day float by without giving you guys a free printable did ya? You guys know how I love my free printables, so here it is, a chic little printable for you! I’m sure you guys have seen numerous pins on Valentine’s Day jars filled with “reasons why I love you”. I remember I made one back in the day for my boyfriend when we first started dating (we’ve only been dating for two years but those days seem so long ago). I decided to recreate this DIY and gave it a fresh minimalist look. I wanted the jar to look super simple, something that would look really nice on your desk or shelf without looking tacky (in other words like Valentine’s Day threw up all over it, you know what I mean). This “I love you because jar” would make the perfect affordable gift for that special someone, your parents, or friends. Everyone needs to be reminded about why we love them and how awesome they are every once in awhile.

Sticker Paper

Number stamps

Wooden Circles

Alphabet Stamps

STEP 1: Download your free printable labels and print them onto sticker paper. The one I use is from Avery. After your labels are nicely printed out, take a pair of scissors and cut, cut, cut. Then, place the sticker on the center of your jar. I got this jar from the $1 section at Target, but you can use a mason jar or any other jar you have laying around. I included two labels where the month, day, and year sections are blank just in case you want to give this to someone for a different occasion. You can simply stamp on the date or hand letter it in for a personal touch!

STEP 2: Take your wood circles and number them using stamps. You can do as many or little as you would like.

STEP 3: Flip your wood circle over and stamp on the reasons why you love the person you’re giving this jar to! If you don’t have stamps, then you can simply write it in with a Sharpie.

STEP 4: Place all your freshly stamped wood circles into the jar and it’s ready to be given to that special someone!
