Metallic Sharpies where have you been all of my life?!? If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw my post on these beautiful Sharpies; they are officially my new obsession! I love the fact that you can do so many projects with them and they look AMAZING on black paper. I thought that the metallic on black look would be perfect for a Halloween diy, so here’s what I came up with: Metallic Sharpie Treat Bags. Oh, and did I mention that I’m giving you guys some free geometric Halloween labels to complete the look? Well I am! Let’s jump right in and get this metallic madness started!
I randomly came across these black treat bags at the Target dollar section. I wasn’t able to find the link to it online, but you can use any black treat bags. Here’s a similar one I found on Etsy (I would go with the large size). Metallic Sharpies are relatively easy to find at your local craft, office supply store, or Amazon.
STEP 1: Take your ruler and Sharpie and begin drawing your design onto your treat bag. See how great these markers pop against the black paper! Be creative and experiment with different designs and patterns.
STEP 2: Continue to draw on your design until your whole bag is covered. After this, fold the top of your bag over.
Here are the designs I came up with. You don’t have to draw on the designs perfectly, trust me it will still look great.
STEP 3: Print out your free geometric Halloween labels below onto card stock or sticker paper. I recommend using sticker paper, so you don’t have to deal with the mess of glue or double sided tape. After you have printed all of your labels, cut them out with a pair of scissors.
