6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy

When life gets busy it’s easy to gravitate towards unhealthy habits. For me, this includes not getting enough sleep, skipping out on exercising, and eating lots of junk food. As a result, my physical and mental well-being take a turn for the worse. Along with this, I tend to forget to properly take care of my skin. I’m sure none of us are fans of dull, unhealthy looking skin! Luckily, I’ve rounded up 6 quick and easy tips to help you get healthy. Let’s jump right in!

6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy1. Take Your Vitamins
Remembering to take my vitamins is something that I’ve always been bad at! Luckily, I recently discovered OLLY Vitamins and have been hooked on their wide variety of gummy vitamins! My current favorite is their new Flawless Complexion gummies. These vitamins contain the ingredients vitamin A, vitamin E, and zinc that help skin fight potential irritants such as stress and junk food! Flawless Complexion also supports three key aspects of clear skin: cell detox, hormone health, and a healthy metabolism. The delicious berry taste also makes it  super easy to remember to take two a day. Obtaining a healthy complexion from the inside out has never been so easy and you can find them online or at Target!

6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy2. Hydrate
I feel like I mention this tip every single time, but I can’t stress enough the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated! When I don’t drink enough water throughout the day, I feel tired and lethargic. Drinking enough water plays a crucial role in allowing your body to flush out unwanted toxins, which in turn keeps your skin glowing and healthy.

3. Eat Clean
I will be the first to admit that eating clean is not easy. There are so many days where I am super busy at work, and the most convenient thing to grab is fast food. Lately, I have been trying to make a conscious effort to watch what I eat. This means making sure that my meals contain loads of colorful fruits and veggies. To top it off, I love having a delicious healthy smoothie to ensure that I am getting all the nutrients my body needs. I find that eating clean helps increase my energy level throughout the day and keeps my skin happy and healthy from the inside out.

6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy4. Find a Workout that Works for You
I can honestly say that I have never been a fan of working out. I would only exercise when it was a requirement at school, so you can imagine how many years I spent avoiding it after I graduated! Last year, a few of my coworkers convinced me to take a yoga class with them, and I actually enjoyed it! Since then, I’ve also tried  various barre, dance, and spin classes. I learned that working out doesn’t have to be a drag. It can be fun and exciting, especially if you find some workout buddies. It’s all about finding a workout that you enjoy. I also find that little sweat every now and then helps cleanse your skin.

6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy5. Bring Plants into Your Living Space
Plants are a small thing that you can bring into your house to make it feel more like a home. Surrounding yourself with living plants will literally make your living space look and feel more lively. You can even start a small herb garden and incorporate it into your cooking. Not only do plants make your home more vibrant, but they can also work as natural air purifiers.

6 Quick and Easy Tips to Get Healthy6. Unplug
Never underestimate the power of unplugging! If you’re like me and work at a corporate office job, then you probably spend most of your day working on a computer. The last thing you would want to do is go home and spend more hours on the computer, right? WRONG! Most people, including me, try to de-stress after work by watch TV shows or spending hours on social media. However, spending all this time staring at computer and phone screens take a huge toll on our physical and mental well-being. Spending time away from technology is easier said than done, but it can drastically change your relationships with your loved ones and your level of happiness.
