Ever since Chanel launched their two-toned slingbacks, it’s been in every popular fashion blogger’s possession. I absolutely fell in love with the simple, yet classic design. However, it came with a hefty price tag, and I knew I would never shell out that much money on a pair of shoes.
Luckily, I found a pair of nude suede slingbacks on sale at Zara. I instantly knew that I could create a dupe of the Chanel slingbacks. The best part was that it cost me less than $20! You can also use the same method that I am using on any pair of suede or fabric shoes. Keep reading to see how to create your own pair of DIY Chanel inspired slingbacks!
M A T E R I A L S :
-Shoes (works best with suede or fabric)
STEP 1: Take a piece of masking tape and carefully place it on the shoe, leaving about two inches of the tip uncovered. Make sure that there are no air bubbles. After this, take a small paint brush and start painting the tip of the shoe.
STEP 2: Wait about an hour for the paint to completely dry. After the paint has dried, slowly peel off the masking tape.
Now you have a new pair of chic slingbacks! Don’t be surprised if people ask if they’re Chanel!
Hope you guys enjoyed this fun DIY! What designer item do you love, but can’t afford? I’d love to create more dupe DIYs for you in the future.
