I can’t believe that our count down to Christmas begins the day after tomorrow! I simply had to squeeze in one more advent calendar project just for you! A few months back, I created a DIY grid moodboard using the Barso Trellis from IKEA. I decided to finally put the other half of my grid to use by making this super chic DIY IKEA hack advent calendar! Keep reading to see how it’s made!
Step 1: Take your ornaments and place the number stickers on the center of each one (1-25). After all your numbers have been placed, start painting your ornaments. I choose to alternate between black and white. To make the 25 extra special, I used a beautiful rose gold color! After all your ornaments have been painted, wait about 30 minutes for the paint to dry.
Step 2: After all your ornaments have dried, it’s time to peel off those stickers. I left my ornaments empty, but you can choose to fill it with small candies. This way you can look forward to a treat as you count down the days until Christmas!
Step 3: Take some thread or twine and tie up each ornament onto the grid, and hang your finished advent calendar anywhere you like. I finished it off by framing the grid with some white Christmas lights. Now we can count down in style!
I hung my calendar right above my desk, and absolutely love the way it looks!
Hope you guys enjoyed this DIY! Did you guys get anything good from Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I know that I got some amazing deals…unfortunately for my wallet.
